Jayme Chancellor, FACHE

CEO, Owner and Independent Executive Consultant

Jayme Chancellor is the founder and CEO of Operations by Design. She has 15 years of experience as an executive leader in operations. Having served as a C-suite member within a for-profit hospital system, Jayme can relate to the challenges and pain points experienced by clients. She has an unshakable drive to discover cost-effective solutions and offer sustainable improvements, all while forming authentic connections. Jayme’s strategic mindset and attention to detail allow her to leverage data for quality decision making. She has achieved impressive results in the areas of reducing labor spend, surgical volume growth, and capitalizing on market share opportunity.  

Prior to founding Operations by Design, Jayme served as Chief Operating Officer at HCA’s Blake Medical Center, as well as HCA’s Northside Hospital. She also served as Division Vice President of Performance Improvement at HCA Healthcare, West Florida Division.

Jayme holds a FACHE credential (Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives) and is Six Sigma Black Belt certified. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of South Florida and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Tampa. Jayme is known for her infectious energy and permanent smile on her face. You’ll find her enjoying a good book or boating on Florida’s west coast. She resides in Safety Harbor with her husband and son.

Trae Chancellor

Project Manager, Managing Partner

Trae Chancellor is the Co-Owner and Managing Partner for Operations by Design. He has more than 16 years of experience in managing projects and engineering teams. Trae develops processes for project estimation, tracking action plans, building productivity management tools, and creating standardized processes for consistency across the team. 

Prior to managing Operations by Design, Trae served as a Project Engineering Manager with Honeywell Aerospace. He was also an engineer with CAE and General Motors. His focus on improving producibility of products and eliminating waste within the design and processing has allowed him to become a master of streamlining. Trae’s experience with efficiently and effectively managing major initiatives, adhering to budgets, leveraging technology, and leading teams across the country allow him to develop standardized processes and tools to support workload tracking and monitoring and team collaboration.  

Trae is Green Belt Six Sigma certified. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Ohio University. He considers himself a happy husband and proud father. You’ll find Trae keeping busy, biking and running – unable to slow down long enough for a nap or a movie.
